compulsory education until 16 years down to 15 years. And 'this, in fact, the news we learned this morning from all the press. It is strongly backed an amendment by the Minister of Education and Welfare Minister Gelmini Sacconi, which provides for the reduction of compulsory schooling to 15 years olds the chance for all to begin work under a contract of apprenticeship. The Department justifies this bill as it aims to resolve the high number of boys (5.4%) which is inactive at the end of the school. We believe that this issue is underlined by the government, comes from a very serious underlying problem. In Italy, in fact, the school drop-out nearly 22% against the European average of 15%. The government, faced with this tragic scenario has seen fit to encourage the study but not work for children deprived of education. No coincidence between those who support this measure are Confindustria and the big businessmen who prefer to take advantage of workers with no diploma and education. Moreover, worth noting is the fact that companies that it should be especially apprenticeship as an apprentice wages will be (so very low) and contributions will be paid by the State and not by the company. This is yet another measure Gelmini which aims to strike the right to study the idea of \u200b\u200ba public school open to all. In fact, it should be added to the policy against funding cuts to public education and incentives to the private. It 'clear that the Gelmini should build a private school fee (open only to those who have disposable income) and to ensure that those resources do not have a future of economic exploitation in which the school education is reduced as much as possible. We believe that government should encourage studies and not to promote a society ignorant, devoid of cultural and intended only to work like machines. We are against this project because we hope class a school open to all people of quality that we build the training of men of the future and not the interests of industrialists.
